I don’t understand the wide appeal of The Hunger Games. I’m reading the second one now, and I don’t understand why it’s as big as it is. Yeah, it’s interesting enough for me to keep on reading, but it’s not like OMFG THIS BOOK OMFG.
It’s pretty much Battle Royale for white people. Really, they’re basically the same.
Is it the whole human survival struggle?
Pretty much my reaction. It’s an easy read, and I admit, aside from homework and cooking, I haven’t put the book down today. But I don’t think it’s quite as amazing as most people convince me it is.
